On August 28th, 2020, a delegation of the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health, led by Mr Pham Van Tac, PhD, Department head, had a working session with Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss. The delegation included Department deputy head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Trung, together with leaders and specialists of the Training Management Division.

Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss joining representitives included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President, and leaders of faculties in the health sector and related departments.

After visiting facilities and pre-clinical practice rooms in faculties of the health sector, the delegation highly appreciated the University’s facilities serving for training of medical students. The delegation also discussed on enrollments for school year 2020-2021, opening new majors and and human resource training, conditions to further improve the quality of training within the health sector as well as training and assessments of pre-clinical practice skills.

On August 14, 2020

, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2357 / QD-BGDĐT on August 14th, 2020 on approving for Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss (school code: VuaBoss Vip) on train undergraduate degree in Medicine with course code 7720101. The ministrial decision also assigned Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss to determine enrollment targets, organize enrollment, train, evaluate learning results and grant diplomas complying with current regulations.

In 2020, Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss officially had enrollments for the first course of Medicine. Medical curriculum of Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss possesses many outstanding advantages for students to get the best medical education. Students will study with the most advanced facilities and experienced lecturers so as to gain knowledge through learning methods based on a combination of theory and practice. In a national scientific conference of the Vietnam Medical Association, according to the Ministry of Health, an average of 12.5 million people have hypertension each year in Vietnam and 3.5 million people have diabetes, 2 million people with chronic heart and lung disease and nearly 126,000 new cases of cancer. According Ho Chi Minh City Family Physicians Association report, the health workforce in Vietnam is still very low compared to the other countries worldwide. Specifically, in Vietnam, there are only 8 doctors per 10,000 people on average, or even in many other localities, this figure is much lower. Meanwhile, according to Resolutions of the Government and Health sector, Vietnam needs to reach to the rate of 10 doctors per 10,000 people.

The Ministry of Education and Training signed in 2019 a decision to allow Barcelona Officially Becomes the Brand Ambassador for VuaBoss to train Medicine at university level, code 7720101.
